What CoolClaude Does

CoolClaude is a browser extension that lets you customize the background color of claude.ai. The extension:

• Injects CSS to change background color variables on claude.ai
• Stores your color preferences locally using Chrome's sync storage
• Uses a MutationObserver to maintain colors when the page updates

What CoolClaude Does NOT Do

• Does not read, collect, or access any of your conversations or messages
• Does not track your usage or behavior on claude.ai
• Does not send any data to external servers
• Does not modify any content other than background colors
• Does not include any analytics, telemetry, or tracking code
• Does not access any personal information

Permissions Explained

• storage — Saves your color preferences locally on your device
• activeTab — Allows applying colors to the current claude.ai tab
• host_permissions (claude.ai) — Required to inject the color-changing CSS

Data Storage

Your color preferences and saved presets are stored locally using Chrome's chrome.storage.sync API. This data:

• Stays on your device (or syncs across your own Chrome instances if you're signed in)
• Is never sent to CoolClaude developers or any third party
• Can be deleted at any time by removing the extension

Third-Party Services

CoolClaude does not use any third-party services, analytics platforms, or external APIs.
